All About Feeds

As you browse our website, you may notice a number of little icons that look like this: XML

These icons represent something called feeds. Feeds are collections of frequently updated content that can be accessed in various ways. These feeds are often called XML or RSS because of how they are made, but the only thing you really need to know is that these feeds exist to provide you with resources and information. But how do you use these feeds?

Click On It

First, you can simply click on the link or XML graphic. Most browsers, including Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Opera, will display the feed for you in a crisp, readable fashion. You can also subscribe to these feeds from your browser for quick access. Here is a list of all the feeds on our website:

Use a Feed Reader

You may pruchase feed reading software at any number of sites on the net. These readers connect to all the feeds you are interested in and provide a list of new entries that looks much like an e-mail inbox. I recommend the free feed reader provided by i-Systems, Inc.

Add to Your Homepage

If you use a customized homepage with Google, MSN, Windows Live, or Yahoo, you can add the feed directly to your homepage. You may use the links below to do so now.

The Members Area

There are plenty of features available to anyone who visits our site. We want to be a help and encouragement to everyone we can. But for those who are members of Hillsdale Assembly of God, we have many more useful tools available in the members area.

If you are a member of Hillsdale Assembly of God, log in to the members area from the home page and a collection of great tools will become available to you. You will be very pleased with everything that this site has to offer.

Members will be able to listen to a complete collection of worship songs that we sing at Hillsdale Assembly of God or songs that we plan to sing in the future. Members of the worship team will also be able to download lead sheets and chord sheets.

The prayer request board is updated by the church staff with all the needs and prayer requests passed on to them by the church body. This way you can stay informed about the prayer needs of your brothers and sisters in Christ.

Volunteer needs will also be posted to keep you informed of ministry opportunities in the church. Simply check the Volunteer board and see where you can help out. There's bound to be something that you can do.

Much more is available, including feedback forms, business meeting resources, and even a church directory. The members area is a great resource for those who attend our church.
